Are you interested in enriching your school’s reading programs? Would you like to increase the value of your school and add new books to its library? How about playing a part in promoting reading and making it a fun experience for children?
If your answer is “yes,” please enroll Bookworms into your school! Bookworms Goes to School aims to spread like fire in all schools in order to promote reading early on and thus help in creating avid readers in the future!
What Bookworms will provide:
Bookworms will provide its storytelling program along with songs and movement as an extracurricular activity that is done during school hours for ALL STUDENTS. A trial of one month can be done and then a term or yearly plan is drawn with the agreement of the school. Unique, colorful books are used and they can reach up to 35 books/year. A letter is sent from the school to the parents stating that the school is offering a reading program, once a week, for a specified length of time. Parents pay a minimal amount (the same way a school field trip is planned). The school can offer the payment if it would like to exempt parents from doing so. Bookworms then goes from one classroom to another to do its program (or receives each class in the Library). The program will consist of circle time (introduction and songs with movement) and an interactive story time, and Bookworms stickers for the children.
What Bookworms will need:
The use of the classrooms’ Reading Area (or use of soft play area or library) and a stereo.
Payment:
1 BD/child for one session. Thus, payment depends on # of sessions (e.g. 4 BD/child for 4 sessions, once a week for one month). Per term or per year payment are marked down.
10% of Bookworms’ profit will go to buying NEW reading books for the school!
